Founded as Murao Shoten in Kanda Awajicho, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
March 1976
Murao Shoten Co., Ltd. is established with capital of 10 million yen.
December 1977
Kanda Head Office Building completed.
January 1978
Capital increased to 40 million yen.
June 1980
Capital increased to 60 million yen.
January 1981
Established subsidiary SAN Co., Ltd. in Ueno, Taito Ward, Tokyo for the purpose of opening a showroom.
July 1982
Established a subsidiary, JUERI Parts Co., Ltd., in Ueno, Taito Ward, Tokyo for the purpose of wholesaling parts for precious metal products.
January 1983
Murao Shoten Co., Ltd. changes its name to Murao Co., Ltd.
February 1983
Construction of the Murao Building No. 2 completed in Tatekawa, Sumida Ward, Tokyo and the Sales Headquarters and Product Development Headquarters were relocated.
May 1985
Capital increased to 90 million yen.
September 1985
SAN Co., Ltd. and JUERI Parts Co., Ltd. open in Ueno Jewelers Town Aurum, Taito Ward, Tokyo.
October 1985
Capital increased to 150 million yen.
August 1988
Opened Osaka Sales Office to strengthen sales network and improve service in the Kansai, Chugoku, and Kyushu regions.
March 1989
Established subsidiary Aurum SAN in Ueno, Taito Ward, Tokyo with the aim of strengthening the sales network.
September 1990
Capital increased to 192 million yen.
May 1991
Merged with SAN Co., Ltd., Aurum SAN Co., Ltd., and JUERI Parts Co., Ltd.
June 1991
Chiba office "Jewelry Murao" completed, Product Development Headquarters relocated.
June 1991
Capital increased to 592 million yen.
October 1991
Established subsidiary Murao Zhubin Accessories Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong.
September 1992
Head office relocated to Tatekawa, Sumida Ward, Tokyo.
June 1993
The SAN Division and Parts Division were merged to form the SAN-JUERI Division.
August 1999
Merged with a Hong Kong subsidiary and opened a Hong Kong sales office.
April 2001
The SAN-JUERI Division changed its name to the Ueno Sales Division.
April 2011
Hong Kong sales office relocated to 36 Man Yue Street, Hung Hom.
February 2014
Capital reduced to 100 million yen.
April 2014
Opened Kofu Sales Office in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
February 2017
Head office relocated to Kanda, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
March 2024
The Kofu sales office was renovated and a parts shop was added.
